What you need to know before you attend your Convocation Ceremony

When: Arrive 1.5 hours before your Convocation Ceremony to ensure you have sufficient time to check in, receive your gown and assemble for the procession.

If you are late: Graduands who arrive late may not enter the Ceremony Hall in the procession with their class. Please make every attempt to arrive early.

Where: Hall 5 at The International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1E8 – Parking is free.

Your Checklist:

Email your tickets from your MarchingOrder account and distribute them to your guest(s) prior to the ceremony. Use the link provided in your Convocation Invitation email to update and access your tickets.

Bring your Sheridan Student ID card or government issued photo ID to the Student Robing room.

Leave all personal belongings with your guests or place them securely in the trunk of your locked car. Sheridan is not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings.

Go to the Robing Room to check-in and pick up your gown.

Assemble in the Staging Room as directed.

Processional of graduands occurs 15 minutes before the ceremony starts.

Children are not permitted to sit with graduands. Children over the age of 3 require a ticket to attend the event. All children must be supervised by another adult other than the graduand.

The Ceremony Hall will open for guests 30 minutes before the ceremony.

Convocation ceremonies will be broadcast live on www.sheridancollege.ca/convocation.

A video clip capturing your moment on stage will be emailed to you from Stage Clip approximately one week after your Convocation Ceremony.

Be respectful of your classmates and remain in your seat for the duration of the ceremony. Celebrate together as alumni until the conclusion.
