International Work Study Program

The International Work Study Program supports part-time and full-time Sheridan positions for eligible international students. Thanks to a $250,000 gift from Scotiabank’s ScotiaRISE program, for the next two years we will be able to fund more Work Study positions for International Students, enabling Sheridan to help these students gain Canadian Work experience that is essential to help them succeed in Canada. Students must apply for the Work Study Program each semester and may be approved for one Sheridan employer.

Students should reach out to their international student advisor if they have any questions about their work authorization.

International students may also make an appointment to speak with an international student immigration advisor to learn more about their work authorization and to get answers to questions relating to their immigration status and working in Canada.

The Financial Aid & Awards Office offers two Work Study options:

Part-time employment

Students may work up to 24 hours per week if employed at their home campus. This is the campus the student is studying at. If students are hired at another campus, they may work up to 20 hours per week.
